After their application to logs immediately after felling, our treatment products give the timber the properties it needs to resist insect bites, xylophagous insect larvae, termites, discolouring fungi that cause the timber to stain blue, and incipient decay (rot caused by the fermentation of the sap or by parasite plants).
Log treatments : how do they work?
Log treatments are applying by washing or sprinkling, especially concentrating on cuts and lower load-bearing parts that are more vulnerable to insect bites. Their action is temporary. For timber that is to be processed into materials, an additional treatment using one of our stored timber treatment products is recommended.
